It's just this Saturday in the beautiful heart of North Central Florida. We've placed some directions online that you can print out guiding you between the church, reception and hotel (map also available: here). For those of you planning on staying the night in Orlando, please leave your Orlando hotel no later than 10:30am Saturday to insure a safe on-time arrival. Please rememebr that our ceremony is at 1:30pm with our reception shortly following.

I've never been on the other end of a registry, but a special thank you to anyone who has either emailed, called or went out of their way to find out about our registry. We've started to get a few things already in the mail and I'm just overwhelmed with gratitude for those of you taking the time to help us out in this way. Thank you, again. It really means a great deal to us both.

That's the wonderful sound of an RSVP arriving in our email box. It even comes to my phone and we can read them there. Oh yes, it's a very special sound... most of the time, the sound comes from just a general email... but very often it's an RSVP. Please keep 'em coming. :)

A big, little update...
We started marriage counseling today. The best part... my former youth pastor, Jeff Moody, is doing it. He's also certified which means we get a bit of a break on the actual marriage license. The first session was a get-to-know-you, but we really spent the time just catching up and him getting to know Rebecca. We were also able to hit some great topics that will help drive the weeks to come. It's just so very special to get wisdom from such a great friend and get challenged in a more personal way. :)

This picture was taken on one of our first dates, a couple years ago. We must have waited 20-30 minutes for that picture. Just goes to show you how wonderful (and patient) she is... or she's a closet tigger fan. ;)
Tuesday, April 7th, 2009 -- 73 days until our wedding
Rebecca got her dress!
You know... it's something funny to hear and see when this happens to a friend of yours. You feel happy and excited for them, but you suddenly get caught up in your own life that you somehow forget the great news and go back to what you were doing.
But man... when it hits your life, it becomes very real just how exciting the news really is. Wow. I took Rebecca out for dinner earlier tonight to celebrate and she was absolutely glowing in excitement. I couldn't wait to post this in my wedding blog when I realized... we don't have one! So alas... here is our first blog post.
Ok, so I really couldn't find a program to use for a blog, so I manually wrote one myself. No comments yet, but I'll have that programmed soon. In the meantime, you can just sign the guestbook.
P.S... I'm not that much of a geek though. ;)
